Q1: What is the difference between Hot-Dipped Galvanized (HDG) and Electro-Galvanized (EG)? Which one should I choose?

Ø  Hot-Dipped Galvanized (HDG): The steel wire is immersed in a molten zinc bath. The zinc coating thickness can reach 60-275 g/m², featuring a crystalline spangle surface. It offers a corrosion resistance lifespan of 15-50 years. It is ideal for outdoor exposure, high-humidity coastal areas, and long-term agricultural farming scenarios.

Ø  Electro-Galvanized (EG): Produced via electrochemical deposition, the zinc layer is thinner (10-30 g/m²) with a smooth, bright silver surface and lower cost. It is suitable for indoor use, temporary fencing, or decorative purposes.

Q2: Is the zinc coating thickness customizable? How is it measured and verified?

A2: Yes, it is fully customizable. Our zinc coating range is 20-275 g/m² (approx. 3-40 microns). We provide a Mill Test Certificate (MTC) with every shipment, stating the actual measured zinc weight. We also support and cooperate with our customers in conducting their own testing.

Q3: Will galvanized steel wire mesh rust?

A3: The zinc coating acts as a sacrificial barrier. While it significantly delays rust, the lifespan depends on the zinc thickness and environment. Hot-dipped galvanizing is recommended for coastal or high-humidity areas to prevent rust for decades.
